Purpose
At Bonkers Builders, we are committed to creating video games that authentically and responsibly represent diverse communities. Our Narrative Positioning Policy ensures that our projects reflect Indigenous and Equity-Seeking Communities with accuracy and respect.
Policy Guidelines
- Character Authenticity: We pledge to involve members of Indigenous and Equity-Seeking Communities in voiceovers and character design. For characters from specific communities, we will seek contributions from individuals who are part of those communities or have significant expertise in those areas.
- Storyline and Subject Matter: Projects featuring storylines, themes, or subject matter related to Indigenous and Equity-Seeking Communities will be developed in consultation with community representatives and experts to ensure authenticity and respect
- Inclusive Hiring Practices: We are committed to hiring a diverse team that includes various backgrounds, such as gender, race, sexual orientation, and disability. Our hiring processes will actively seek individuals from underrepresented communities.
- Engagement and Transparency: We will gather feedback during development and post-release to ensure ongoing accuracy and sensitivity. Our plan and processes will be transparent and available online for public review.
